Comic actor gets a little help from his friends to turn around the negative connotations of 'jumping on the bandwagon' in this campaign for Lay's potato chips, founded in the USA in 1932. With the World Cup 2026 due to kick off in the three host countries of Mexico, Canada and the USA in June, the snack brand is opening up the fanbase to include the underserved segment of people who don't like football, or will even take active measures to avoid the increasingly hyped matches. This year's edition sees 48 teams competing in what's being billed as the biggest sporting event in history, set to break records in terms of internet consumption etc etc. With an estimated1.3 billion people tuning in to watch the last final, it's not surprising to see brands scrambling to produce campaigns that strike the right chord - does this one manage it?
