Sydney to London. Non-stop. A world first.

"From October 2027, Qantas will operate daily non-stop flights between Sydney and London, with tickets going on sale in February 2027," says the Australian national carrier. A history-making project for the airline, which is the third oldes tin the world after Dutch KLM and Colombian Avianco. 'Project Sunrise' was announced in 2017, and the Airbus A350-1000ULR was chosen for it. The A350 will operate more direct routes to Australia, says Qantas, with a significantly shorter point-to-point travel time – reducing flight time up to four hours compared to the flight time of one-stop flights.
