Patrick Gibson voice, motion-capture for video game '007: First Light'

Not altogether the new James Bond in the perenially popular '007' spy movie franchise, Irish actor Patrick Gibson, 31, is nonetheless hitting the headlines at least in gaming circles for his role in this presentation of the upcoming '007: First Light' video game. The soundtrack by US singer/songwriter Lana del Rey and film composer David Arnold - who scored five Bond films between 1997 and 2008 - is garnering positive responses as a contemporary take on a classic opening score theme. As the hunt for the new James Bond himself - or at least, the wait for the revelation of who's taking over the iconic role - continues, '007: First Light' comes to PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 27th, 2026, and Nintendo Switch 2 this summer.
