Midnight Mayhem and the legend of the seventh punch

On 19 January 2027, twenty people from across the gaming and gambling industry will step into the ring in Barcelona during ICE Barcelona (part of World Gaming Week). At the Midnight Mayhem fight club event, each participant is completing a six-month boxing training programme to raise money and awareness for 25 charitable causes. This 2'30" AI-generated film tells the story of boxing's mythical 'seventh punch' - also used here as a metaphor for unexpected life events that can knock us out / off course. Behind it is non-profit organisation Behind The Gloves (BTG), which uses boxing, fitness, and corporate engagement - primarily within the iGaming and sports betting sectors - to host experiences and raise funds for charitable causes. It says it "creates transformational experiences that combine boxing, personal development and charitable impact. Through structured training programmes, expert coaching and a values-led framework, BTG helps everyday people achieve extraordinary things for themselves, their organisations and their communities".
