Luxury fashion designer Elie Saab lends his cachet to the new Bombardier Global 8000 private jet, which boasts a top speed of Mach 0.95 - and now, stunning interior visual finishes as well. The world’s fastest business jet and the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, the Global 8000 carries a price tag of between US $78 and $85 million; flying one for 200-400 hours a year adds another two or three million. According to Fortune Business Insights: "The global private jet market (often termed the business jet market) is valued at approximately $50.60 billion. The sector is experiencing steady, robust expansion and is projected to reach roughly $80.80 billion to $93 billion by the mid-2030s". Flying in this kind of luxury is experienced by approximately 0.003% of the world's population (Jettly), and there are reportedly some 23,000 such aircraft in operation - half of them owned by US Americans.
