Guy Ritchie surprises as 'Wife and Dog' director

A trailer which piques the interest without giving any clues as to what the plot is or how things may unfold has come to be quite a rarity, and this one is exciting comment for doing just that. Also for the cast - Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, Anthony Hopkins, James Norton, Paddy Considine, Tomás Paredes, Cosmo Jarvis, Pip Torrens, Patrick Pearson, Lee Fisher, Malcolm Shepherd, and Harry Ormerod - and the director, Guy Ritchie, whose fans are eager to see how he handles what appears to be a very different kind of movie from his gangster comedies and large-scale action-adventure films. The blurb says it's about "a brilliant scientist who discovers the toxicity of a major pesticide, sparking a battle against its powerful manufacturer amidst growing paranoia and anger. Based on true events". Due out next year, in case the trailer's done its job.....
