Brazil is renowned for the quality of its football players, yet the nation hasn't won the World Cup since 2002. German automaker Volkswagen draws on its rich history of visually familiar vehicles to illustrate the dream of winning the globally popular sports event in this footage. Set to the classic samba 'O Amanhã', by João Araújo and Didi, and starring Carlo Ancelotti, current head coach of the men’s team, "the campaign transforms the Brazilian obsession with a sixth title into a cinematic celebration of hope, trust and football culture," says Volkswagen, launching its new sponsorship of the Brazilian National Football Teams. For those in the football / car / both know, there are fleeting references to Brazil’s football history, including the 1994 World Cup victory, iconic broadcasts and classic Volkswagen models that became part of the country’s collective memory around the sport.
