With Brexit suddenly a lot closer as 2018 gets underway, global banking group HSBC has come up with a tongue-in-cheek ad pointing out how Britain is part of 'something bigger' under the slogan 'Together We Thrive'. Comedian Richard Ayoade gives the visual gags and wording a slick touch to the strains of Edward Elgar’s 'Nimrod' - the biblical figure Nimrod was a 'mighty hunter'. The ad appears to parody something. Do you think it's presenting the bank's global credentials, is a sly anti-Brexit campaign (though Brexit isn't actually mentioned), or just a witty take on how Britain is no more 'independent' than other countries these days?
